OPICCO supports Ontario's community legal clinics' efforts in the field of community organizing and community development. It advocates for dedicated funding and staff for community development for all community legal clinics. It promotes efforts at developing training and capacity building in the area of community development. It is a focal point in the sharing of community organizing resources among clinics and community activists. It promotes and facilitates discussion among clinics on community development strategies; and it supports meaningful ways of measuring the impact of community development work on the lives of those who clinics serve. The Board Supports Working Group is an organization providing learning and training supports to the boards of Ontario's community legal clinics. The BSWG is comprised of 10 volunteers (8 of whom are board members) drawn from community clinics across Ontario.
